Research Stays

I have carried out several international research stays to strengthen collaborations and advance my work in high-performance computing, both during my pre- and post-doc phases. In total, I have spent almost 11 months abroad.

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), Spain

  • Duration: 3 months
  • Period: October–December 2023
  • Team: Workflows and Distributed Computing Research Group
  • Supervisor: Rosa Badia
  • Role: Predoctoral Research Stay

In collaboration with Rosa Badia, I contributed to the Distributed Computing Library (dislib). In collaboration with Raül Sirvent, we organized panels regarding reproducibility and provenance in computer science.

Inria Bordeaux, France

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Period: June–August 2019; July–September 2018
  • Team: HiePACS Research Group (High-End Parallel Algorithms for Challenging Numerical Simulations)
  • Supervisor: Mathieu Faverge
  • Role: Predoctoral Research Stay

I developed an extension of the Chameleon library, named H-Chameleon, to incorporate support for Hierarchical Matrices linear algebra operations.

Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU), Germany

  • Duration: 21 days
  • Period: January 2018
  • Team: Scientific Computing Research Group
  • Supervisor: Steffen Börm
  • Role: Predoctoral Research Stay

I worked on the parallelization of the Hierarchical Matrices linear algebra operations integrated in the H2Lib library.

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), Spain

  • Duration: 1 month
  • Period: November 2017
  • Team: System Tools and Advanced Runtimes Research Group
  • Supervisor: Vicenç Beltran
  • Role: Predoctoral Research Stay

I learnt about OmpSs-2 programming model and leveraged it to parallelize the Hierarchical Matrices linear algebra operations integrated in the H2Lib library.
